Eurasia System Goes Live in Customs; Tariff Exemptions for Traders

In a letter to ICCIMA President Samad Hassanzadeh, customs chief Foroud Asgari said the launch advances smart, electronic customs processing with greater transparency, speed, and predictability.

The system lets traders claim tariff discounts and exemptions under the Eurasian Economic Union agreement; without it, imports are treated as coming from third countries and pay full duties.
